Lorin Rasel, FNP-C

Hi! I’m Lorin Rasel. I was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where my father is a physician, mother an occupational therapist, and I quickly learned about my passion for helping others. The idea of becoming a nurse practitioner arose when I was in high school and ever since has been my dream to pursue.

I started off by getting my bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies with a minor in biomedical sciences from Colorado State University (Go Rams!). I then got my bachelor’s in nursing degree from Regis University through their accelerated program. I was an RN at Littleton Adventist Hospital in the neuro and general ICU for 5 wonderful years, then pursued my master’s in nursing degree as a family nurse practitioner soon after. My nursing background has formed me into the practitioner I am today.

I have been practicing as a nurse practitioner in family medicine and urgent care, which I love! I enjoy being able to keep up some of my acute skills from the intensive care unit with patients I treat in the urgent outpatient setting. My happiness truly stems from helping others in life, which is why I love my job. I am married to a wonderful man, and we have a yellow lab named “Waffles”. As for hobbies- traveling, yoga, fashion, spending time outdoors- but most of all, spending quality time with family and friends- is where you will find me.
